As the person who watches, monitors and measures social media your job is not completed just because a post is made. In fact this is when your role really begins.
You must monitor your posts:
- See what pops and what doesn’t for your fans;
- The level of engagement; and
- Respond to comments from your fans.
You must (there is no alternative) respond to every comment – whether that be a question, a suggestion or even negative feedback. If you don’t answer or comment you are telling your fans that you don’t really care what they say.
Do not shy away from any negative comments. This is your opportunity to turn a customer around.
