Fitness Australia Board Nominee: Justin McDonell. Why You Should Vote For Me.

Voting is now open for the Fitness Australia board elections ahead of the Annual General Meeting on 26 November and I can be elected to the board.

As a current board member for the past 7 years, I am eligible for election for one final term on the board. Over that time Fitness Australia has evolved to better fit the needs of the industry, but it’s part of the way there, and I’m keen to add value to ensure the future is driven where it needs to go.

Firstly, need to have more Australians moving and enjoying the benefits of exercise, ultimately creating a healthier nation. Our country faces serious challenges with the health of citizens, and the fitness industry is uniquely well positioned to champion efforts to solve it.

Secondly, as a sector we need to be taken more seriously within Government . By improving our present image which can at times be incorrectly stigmatized. As individuals within the sector, we know the majority of operators are exceptional organizations and practitioners that are deeply committed to improving the wellbeing of their members and clients; getting all Australians to share this perception, including those charged with running the country in parliament, We still have a way to go.
