Power to the People

As we move into an unchartered time for business with greater technologies emerging and trends surround the future of work, the power balance is shifting further towards employees and away from the traditional employer.

Fun facts about Trent

  • Needs to be in control of emails. I need my email inbox to be under 10 otherwise I feel out of control. While many people will tell you its the worst way to manage your time effectively I insist it works for me.
  • I need to be over-subscribed with work to be efficient. If I am only at 50% capacity, I will be lethargic and slow in my turn-around, but at 120% capacity I start to shine.
  • Music is my motivator. I cant work on detailed and strategic thinking without background music.

Four people (alive or passed) he'd like to have at his private dinner party

  • Winston Churchill - the battles he went through as a solider, politician and orator were amazing. The resilience and fortitude he next to none.
  • Michelle Obama - One of the great first lady's of US politics who has arguably left as big of a mark on US politics as her very successful husband.
  • Nelson Mandela - from prison to the making history. His life and stories are filled with such lows and highs, and the importance of his messages will last generations.
  • Dan Carter - my absolute favourite athlete. A powerhouse in NZ Rugby.
