About the role

As a key member of the Leadership team, the Business Development Manager is responsible for researching, developing and implementing sustainable new business opportunities that align with South East Leisure’s organisational objectives.

Working closely with the Executive Team and other key staff, you will be responsible for establishing and nurturing partnerships, delivering new revenue streams and identifying opportunities to optimise existing programs and services.

This role will suit somebody who isn’t afraid to challenge the norm and excited by the opportunity to develop non-traditional revenue streams.

Key Responsibilities and Specialist Skills

  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify commercial opportunities for business growth and revenue generation.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of business development strategies.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with partners to ensure long-term collaboration and mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within target industries.
  • Organise meetings to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange among partners and internal teams.
  • Coordinate the execution of joint marketing campaigns and initiatives to drive visibility and engagement for our partners.
  • Monitor and report on performance outcomes, making recommendations for continuous improvement and the optimisation of existing programs and services.
  • Prepare and review business proposals/MOUs/contracts to ensure compliance with legal and corporate protocols.
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven experience in business development or relationship management roles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to track, measure, and report on partnership metrics and outcomes.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and project management software is a plus.
  • Creative thinker with a problem-solving attitude and a collaborative approach.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and navigate ambiguity.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a business development role, or similar
  • High-level computer literacy
  • First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain if successful)
  • Working with Children Check
